 Huronia Historical Parks Huronia Historical Parks operates two historic attractions in Midland and Penetanguishene. Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was a 17th century French Jesuit Mission to the Huron people and is Ontario's oldest European community. Discovery Harbour recreates a 19th century British naval and military base, located on the picturesque shores of Penetanguishene on Georgian Bay. Play video

 Royal Botanical Gardens This piece of paradise boasts five unique gardens landscaped over 200 hectares (500 acres) - plus 900 hectares (2,200 acres) of nature sanctuary. See the world's largest lilac collection, hike the more than 30 kilometres (19 miles) of nature trails, and take in award-winning events throughout the year including bloom festivals, music in the gardens and art exhibits.
