Destination Ontario is a government agency created in 1999 to partner with Ontario tourism operators to showcase Ontario as a four-season must-see travel destination at home and internationally. By tapping into Destination Ontario's sophisticated research, international marketing expertise and comprehensive advertising and promotional campaigns, tourism operators and businesses reach markets that otherwise may not be available to them. The Ontario Government passed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act in 2005. Its goal is to make Ontario accessible for people with disabilities by 2025. Destination Ontario is committed to the principles outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, through the implementation of the requirements of the Act.
