About the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership.

 

Introduction

The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership (OTMPC) is a government agency created in 1999 to partner with Ontario tourism operators to showcase Ontario as a four-season must-see travel destination at home and internationally. By tapping into the OTMPC's sophisticated research, international marketing expertise and comprehensive advertising and promotional campaigns, tourism operators and businesses reach markets that otherwise may not be available to them. There's a wide range of exciting opportunities available for partners - large and small - in all markets.

 

Accessibility

The Ontario Government passed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act in 2005. Its goal is to make Ontario accessible for people with disabilities by 2025. The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) is committed to the principles outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, through the implementation of the requirements of the Act.

The OTMPC's mandate is to increase tourism revenues throughout the province by creating new and dynamic marketing initiatives and products and by enhancing the marketing resources available to all Ontario tourism operators.

The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Media Relations Services

Ontario's tremendous scope and diversity have made tourism one of this province's fastest growing business sectors. The goal of the OTMPC media relations is to communicate Ontario's unique characteristics and experiences to accredited media through "familiarization" tours and marketplace meetings and events throughout the year. The media relations team is dedicated to providing great ideas and useful tools to professional travel writers and broadcasters who are interested in learning more about covering Ontario as a travel destination.

The OTMPC has resources to help professional media become familiar with Ontario when covering the province as a travel destination. Four videos are available for broadcast, along with a library of footage to accommodate specific requests. The four videos showcase a range of products, from outdoor adventure and Ontario's different regions, to a spotlight on Toronto. OTMPC is pleased to offer many other creative services in addition to these videos.

Each year, international representatives promote Ontario as a preferred destination in overseas advertising campaigns and at events and tradeshows in the United States, Europe and Asia. Travel trade teams are always interested in learning more about new or enhanced Ontario travel experiences.
