Toronto is a foodie paradise. Discover this delicious city one bite at a time.

Click on ADD TO MY TRIP PLANNER below to customize this itinerary.

Toronto has earned its stripes as a dynamic cultural hub with blockbuster events, avant-garde art and fashion, world-class attractions and a vibrant nightlife. What also makes this city stand out is its diverse cuisine and adventurous spirit of fusion in food. The result is palate pleasing perfection.
In between meals, look for some of the exciting events taking place this fall, including the Toronto International Film Festival (Sept 7-17),  the Food Truck Festival Ontario (Sept 16-17), the Invictus Games (Sept 23-30) and all-night art party, Nuit Blanche (Sept 30).

DAY ONE
Where to stay
Drop your bags at The Ivy at Verity, a luxurious oasis centrally located on Queen Street East.
Explore the valley
Treat yourself to authentic Belgian waffles at Le Petit Déjeuner before setting out towards the Don River Valley. Explore the trails, the market, the cafés (rumour has it Café Belong’s butter tarts are divine) and the cidery at the Evergreen Brick Works, a lively multi-functional attraction located in a former quarry and brick factory (shuttle available from Broadway Station). Hike to Chester Hill Lookout, just north of the Danforth and east of the Don Valley Parkway for one of the best views of downtown, the Don Valley and the Bloor Viaduct, all lit up in fall foliage.
Dinner in the east end
Get your fill of authentic Greek dishes like dolmades, souvlaki and saganaki at Mezes on the Danforth, Toronto’s beloved Greektown. Follow up dinner with one of 12 Ontario craft beers down the street at The Wren. Find out what’s on at the Coal Mine Theatre, a new independent theatre in the east end.

DAY TWO
Food tour
Step up your coffee game with a Cortado from Fahrenheit Coffee. Tour, taste (dim sum to sticky buns) and talk about Toronto’s colourful Chinatown with a local culinary professional from TO Food Tours. Treat your tastebuds to a south Asian inspired Lychee Lassi at Rickshaw Bar on Queen Street West, followed by a small indulgence at Dufflet Pastries.
Queen West shopping
Work off the three-hour lunch with some retail therapy. Find city-centric merchandise at Spacing and the popular Toronto vs Everybody tee at Peace Collective on Ossington. Modern meets vintage cool at Shinola, while Drake General Store sells curated Canadian curiosities like the ‘onesie’ for adults. Time for tacos! Get to know some locals over communal dining at Grand Electric.
Dinner, drinks and music
Loop back to Harbord Village for the foie gras menu at the recently opened Café Cancan French bistro; the décor is as delightful as the fare. Just a few doors away at Her Father’s Cider Bar, sample from a selection of over 75 ciders from Ontario and beyond (go local!). Make your way down to bohemian Kensington Market to Grey Gardens Wine Bar. The Cameron House on Queen West is an intimate live music and cultural venue; a great place to wrap up your night.

DAY THREE
Cheers to brunch
Get your brunch on at Mildred’s Temple Kitchen; try one of their signature Caesars (a Canadian invention).
Get a different view
Bookend your getaway with an incredible, 360-degree, bird’s-eye view of the city from the top of the CN Tower. The SkyPod sits 447 metres (1465 feet) above the city, making it one of the highest observation platforms in the world. The viewing platform just received new barrier-free, floor to ceiling, window walls giving you a spectacular, unobstructed view. Add dining in the sky to your foodie accomplishments; lunch at 360 Restaurant.
